Meet Bill Dodge, the man behind one of the most appropriately named booths you’ll find at the Y’allternative Market!
Hello! My name is Bill Dodge. I moved from Minnesota to rural Alexander, Iowa, about five years ago. My wife was originally from Dows, which was one reason we came down to this area and we're glad to now call this part of Iowa home.
My business is named Bill's Bar, Shop, Garage, and ManCave Extravaganza, and it's just like it sounds! I sell various assorted items that many people would consider to be "guy stuff." But if you're a collector, a nostalgia lover, or someone who enjoys finding something you didn't even know you were looking for, there's a good chance you'll want to stop by my booth.
So, what exactly is "guy stuff"?
You might find breweriana (beer collectibles), bar and liquor collectibles, hand and power tools and accessories, petroliana (gas station and oil company collectibles), and sports items such as NFL, NASCAR, MLB, and more.
And that's just the beginning.
I also carry things such as military items, Harley-Davidson memorabilia, WWF/WWE wrestling items, model railroad items, and plenty of other interesting odds and ends. My inventory is always changing, so you never quite know what might turn up.
I've been into these kinds of things since I was a small child, spurred on by my parents, who lived somewhere between being "collectors of many things" and "well-organized hoarders." I guess you could say collecting is in my blood!
My main area of collecting, buying, trading, and selling is breweriana, as that is my favorite of these different categories, but I enjoy them all. Part of the fun for me is the hunt. I enjoy rummage sales, auctions, and all types of "junk sales," and I'm always picking up new things to add to the mix.
That means my booth is never quite the same twice. There's a good variety of products, and the selection is constantly changing as new finds come in and other items find new homes.
So whether you're looking for something specific, shopping for the collector in your life, hunting for a piece of nostalgia, or just love digging through a good assortment of interesting stuff, Bill's Bar, Shop, Garage, and ManCave Extravaganza is worth a stop.
