Where It All Began

Hi, I’m Kayna - a mom, a nurse, and a gal who once planted a few flower seeds just because she thought they might bring a little more joy to our family.

I never imagined those tiny seeds would grow into something quite so magical.

I planted. I watered. I waited.

And then, one day, the yard was bursting with blooms.

It became a little garden wonderland; blooms, butterflies, and bees. And people started stopping by. Some would ask if they could take pictures. Others simply wanted to wander through the flowers and admire them for a while.

And honestly? I loved that.

There was something special about watching people pause their busy lives for a moment just to enjoy something beautiful.

That’s when a little idea began to take root.

What if I grew more?

So the next year, I did just that. More seeds. More flowers. More supplies. Bigger dreams. And a whole lot of dirt under my fingernails.

And somewhere along the way, KRaVe Market began.

We took an old office construction trailer and gave it a whole new life, turning it into our little walk-in market. What started as a place for freshly picked flowers slowly became a tiny treasure trove of all things lovely.

You'll find baked goodies, handmade décor, jewelry, soaps and lotions, household treasures, seasonal produce, houseplants, and plenty of other little surprises waiting to be discovered.

But KRaVe Market was never meant to be just a place to buy things.

I wanted it to feel like somewhere you belonged.

A place that feels a little like coming home and a little nostalgic. Fairytale like.

A place where you can wander among the flowers, find something you didn't know you needed, chat with a neighbor, take home something handmade, or simply stand in the sunshine and breathe for a minute.

This summer, we invited people to come and cut their own flower bouquets, and those evenings turned into something I could have only dreamed of.

There were flowers everywhere. Laughter. Families. Friends. Full buckets of flowers and happy hearts.

People were walking through something that started as a tiny dream in my backyard - and getting to watch that was nothing short of magical.

Because that's really what KRaVe is all about.

Flowers are where it started, but joy is what we're growing.

It's a labor of love, a little bit of dreaming, a whole lot of growing, and a reminder that sometimes the most wonderful things begin with something as small as a seed.

We asked Kayna a few questions so you can get to know a little more about what she creates and what shoppers can look forward to.

What is your favorite product or best-seller?

“My favorite things that we sell are of course our seasonal produce and cut flowers. But outside of the growing season, I love our handmade wood crafted items.”

There’s something especially fitting about a business that changes and grows with the seasons, and KRaVe offers shoppers something different throughout the year.

What makes your products unique or special?

“What makes our products so unique and special is that everything that we have to offer is made, grown, or crafted by us and sourced locally.”

We love that! Made, grown, crafted, and sourced locally is exactly the kind of spirit we’re hoping to bring together at the Y’allternative Market.

What can shoppers look forward to from you at our market?

Kayna says shoppers can look forward to:

“pinterest board worthy items (your girl LOVES pinterest) but from creators that you can see.”

 

And honestly, we think that sounds pretty perfect for our market!
