Meet Darla Tweeten, in her own words....who makes Handmade Cards with Heart!
I am a farm wife, married 51 years, with three sons, a daughter in law, and three grandsons who live a mile away from us. I was raised on a farm with parents, six siblings, and know the value of family. Recently retired after 47 years in the Human Resources Field with a financial planning firm. Began the Tweet Be Happy business in 2018 as a discount shopper for a few years, then discovered I enjoyed teaching/coaching others to paper craft. It's about the people, showing you care and building relationships. It's what keeps me happy!
What do you make/sell?
What inspired you to start your business?
I have always been artistic, was a cosmetologist, and began with scrapbooking when our 11 year old was killed in a car accident in 1996. I did not want others to forget him. A fear since long gone as we consistently have people mention him. I did scrapbooks for many years, was a consultant. Then included stamps, inks, and papers creating greeting cards and home decor because it was faster and productive.
What is your favorite product or best-seller?
I am a people person. Who needs people. I enjoy meeting new people and coaching them to be creative with paper products. Anyone can be creative. Have Fun. Enjoy being a part of a caring community.
Where can people find you online or shop with you after the market?
Darla will be sharing her second annual collection of handmade greeting cards! After three years of coaching and encouraging others to create, she's excited to share some of her own creations. Shop for Birthdays, Thank You's, Friendship, Thinking of You, Encouragement, Sympathy and more!
We cannot wait to welcome Darla back as a returning vendor to our Y'allternative Fall Market!
